Inspired by the gritty and rebellious aesthetic of Cluckers chicken shop located in Reno, Nevada these skatedecks were illustrated to further their brand identity and solidify them as the next cool up-and-coming chicken restaurant.
We had free-range on the creative direction with these illustrations. The first chicken, fittingly named, Richard the Rooster was inspired by the cool skater persona.
The second chicken was heavily inspired by Japanese illustration styles, but with flames incorporated as a nod to Cluckers’ love for heat and spice.
Lastly, our Cowboy Clucker was intended to be the love child of Cluckers and Brothers Barbecue (the owners own both restaurants). The title of the skatedeck reads, “Never Forget Where You Came From,” as the owners first opened up Brothers Barbecue, quickly found success, and then ventured into chicken territory when they opened up Cluckers.
